‘Arjuna’ and ‘Krishna’ in the battle field.
  1. Purity of heart, Wisdom in mind and Efficiency in applying them.
  2. We have three views that drives our actions, they are: Our Self View, World View and God View.
  3. Before arriving at a decision, always analyze the situation from a neutral position, do not get biased, keep an objective view and proceed.
  4. If by telling lie we can remove evil from a situation, then we should not hesitate in saying it.
  5. Do not let the body know, what’s their in the mind and vice-versa; make your intellect the barrier in between.
  6. Family is the root of your intelligence, behavior and success. Devotion towards your family is important to stay sane and confident.
  7. When we talk and god listens that’s prayer. When god talks and we listen that’s meditation.
  8. When our intellect and mind flows the same thoughts that is called the feeling of heart. Pleasure cannot heal sorrow, learnings can.
  9. Our senses gives us perception and mind interprets it. This creates happiness/sadness/suffering/calmness.
  10. Endure pain as well as pleasure and never loose sight of your goals. Do not worry; smile, keep moving, stay focused and balance your mind.
  11. Time is an illusion. If you think of past/future you get to caught up with thoughts of events which leads to appear that time has slowed down for you.
  12. Focusing the mind on one task will make the time to pass fast. Grieving cannot change anything. Be like water that fits in all the shapes.
  13. We can choose to follow our wisdom/instincts based on our will-power and strengths. Because with choice their comes responsibilities.
  14. Your duty must be to perform the actions in-hand with a balanced attitude. Excepting in advance the ambiguity of the reactions. Let us be Outcome Independent.
  15. Desires are trap for re-births. Even if nine of them are fulfilled and one doesn’t we will start feeling miserable and vice-versa.
  16. This is Karma-Yog:

SAMATHVA BUDHI- Keep the mind balanced in both positive/negative results.

SVADHARMA BUDHI- Follow the path of righteousness, know what is right/wrong and do the right thing whether you like it or not.

SAMARPAN BUDHI- Do something bigger than yourself and have fun while doing it.

ASANGHAYA BUDHI- Do not postpone your happiness/fun on the future by being attached to the results.

PRASAAD BUDHI- Whatever results comes of your actions accept it with gratitude and faith in the heart.

17. Know ‘Who Am I’ and you will be able to know the world, quieten your intellect and attain Vairagya. Follow karma-yog to know ‘Who Am I’.

18. The characteristics of the Supreme Self:

● Their are no desires, (like, I want the...).

For example, when the sun rises darkness disappears. Similarly, when enlightenment happens desires disappears.

● Their mind is not agitated, neither it gets shock/surprise, with sorrow/fear/anger/happiness/pleasure evoking situation.

● They are not attached to the world/people but lives in a detached manner doesn’t leave them.

● No admiration/devotion/comparison/hatred for anyone. Remains in complete bliss permanently.

● They have total control over all the senses, they can withdraw and project them at will.

For example, a tortoise.

19. Give the intellect a higher ideal to follow, to control it. Then it tells what is right based on the ideal path and controls the desires.

20. Anger and failure is capable of trashing you down and diluting your ultimate goal of enlightenment.

21. If you want to attain enlightenment, follow the path of Karma-Yog. Perform your actions and stick to the duties with the right attitude.

Note: You will find many things repeated here, because bhagavan repeats them to make it echo again-and-again in our intellect. (As we humans do not get it at once)!

22. With YADNA BHAVAN; that is to dedicate all our actions to a higher goal will make our mind more pure and help to prosper in life.

23. Enlightened people do not have any duties to perform rather they transcend all their actions as prayer; an offering for the well-being of all.

24. Do not work for success rather complete your work successfully. Being detached to the work/results, do it because it has to be done.

25. Work to integrate the society. Do not stop the wrong doers right away, firstly mingle up with them, then slowly steadily guide them to the right path. One soul at a time.

26. Keeping your mind in the past/future is like insulting the god in the present. Therefore,

● Learn from the past and plan the future but live in the present.

● Do not get excited in the present also, because this will make you unbalanced and deviate you from giving your best to the task in-hand.

● Plan your work and do not worry about about the outwardly results because it depends on the totality, so if you fail doesn’t matter but you should always pass spiritually, i.e., inwardly.

● It doesn’t matter if things happen according to your likes/dislikes. You never loose sight of your own path/goals. Understand your likes/dislikes and follow the right path intellectually. Regardless of whether you like it or not.

27. To control your desires and anger, Do this-

(Locate them, as to where they reside.)

Senses: They expresses their own likes and dislikes.

Mind: When emotions are added to your likes/dislikes it becomes your love/hate.

Intellect: When you start giving and supporting your likes and dislikes with logics and quotes, that is when your likes/dislikes starts determining your choices and impacts your character accordingly.

Note: Learn to overcome your desires/anger at the senses level. By not expressing them through your tongue, behavior and other external features. Overcome the emotions in the mind and start to generate positive thoughts related to attaining enlightenment and negate all fake logics given by the intellect by reminding yourself the path of KarmaYog.

28. Now, if you wish to leave this reading here, you can because, things will be revealed in much depth now onwards. But remember to chant these teaching again-and-again, this knowledge is everything!

Welcome to the ocean!

29. The ocean is god, the waves our all the living beings. It is like One for all and all for one. Everything in this world happens by logic, nothing is a miracle.

30. Be free from attachment, fear and anger. Their is no religion based on your birth but it is based on your karma. Goal is to have and equal proportion of these;

● Keep gaining and sharing knowledge (Brahman),

● Be courageous and take risk (Kshatriya),

● Create wealth (Vysya, i.e. Komati),

● Serve the society (Shudra).

31. Characteristics of a self-realized person:

● Their actions become deviated from selfish desires (anger, jealousy, greed, etc. disappears).

● They give up all the attachments with the results of their actions.

● Their mind and body are in their control. They do not have any expectations from the world.

● They are always in the bliss of complete satisfaction. Feeling of ‘Santosh’ is in their attitude.

● They are free while living; their mind is established in self-knowledge. Their actions are perfect example of worship.

● They see brahma alone in every being and in everything.

32. Self control is the fire in which the organs of actions and perceptions our in control and an enlightened being rides on them.

33. Observation of breathing helps in quieting the mind. If some thoughts our stuck in the mind, pranayama can help in getting rid of them.

34. The solution of all your problems is to gain self-knowledge and become “Sthitaprajna”.

● Have faith in Bhagavad Gita.

● Get ready to do, what is needed.

● Control your mind, senses and body.

● Make it your goal to attain enlightenment.

● Do not doubt this knowledge.

Then only you will experience complete peace and will be self-acknowledged.

35. Consider a person Sanyasi, if while doing the karma they have become free from:

● Hatred

● Cravings

● Pair of opposites (i.e., acceptance of both love/hatred, victory/defeat, respect/embarrassment).

Note: Too many bullet points! Isn’t it? I think Krishna used them purposely as human minds are able to retain something written in points much easily than in paragraphs. :)

36. When a person is totally in-tune with the KarmaYog they gain inner peace, quietude, outside prosperity and happiness.

37. The state of an enlightened person is:

● Actions are happening according to the nature but the sense of ‘I’ am doing it; goes away.

● They remain happy and calm in all the situations.

● They understand that God lives within them.

● They are in a pure bliss knowing that this time of life is an illusion. The situations or emotions all are temporary.

38. When mind accepts something, that is faith but when intellect accepts something, that is knowledge.

● Person who gains knowledge becomes free from this cycle of rebirth.

● That person is humble, they perceive everyone as the same soul. For them people our not bad it is their mind that has picked impurities.

39. It is impossible to seek Permanent Happiness in temporary situations/relationships.

● The pleasurable experiences from the past when gives a desire to seek it again in the present that is called Kaam.

● The bad experience from the past when gives anger in the present and their is a sensation of jealousy and revenge that is called Krodh.

● Until the soul is trapped in the body, Kaam and Krodh will come, we cannot get rid of them and we cannot predict when will they come.

● The only thing here we can do is to control them, when they come. Not let them reach our tongue. One can achieve this through proper understanding of the vicious cycle of Kaam and Krodh.

● Understand these agitations and bear them to become a wise and happy person, continue this practice until you die and get moksha.

40. Pleasure gives birth to Kaam, Kaam when fulfilled leads to greed and proud. When it is obstructed it leads to Krodh and jealousy (the vicious cycle).

41. My karma will effect the cosmos, even a small prayer for the universe will set a +ve/-ve vibration effecting the environment as a whole.

42. Meditation means Paying Attention. A good Karma Yogi is both a good yogi and a good sanyasi.

Sanyas means Tayag: Give up ‘my’ and ‘I’.

You are ready for meditation when:

◾ You are not attached to the objects of the sense (mouth: not affected by words, eyes: not affected by beauty, taste, smell, sound) and actions (no desires needed to be fulfilled).

◾ One should only be attracted towards Krishna. Who is Krishna? Krishna is oneself. “Aham Brahma Asmi”

43. Don’t get in the pursue of your nature. Make friends with your body, mind and intellect and effectively integrate your personality logically.

Their are different relationships which you will share from other essences of the soul in this journey. They are:

Suhurat- Our well wishers

Mitra- They accept us completely

Ari- Enemies

Udaseen- Indifferent, neither happy nor unhappy, least interested towards you.

Madhayasta- Mediator, they are interested towards you as well as your enemies.

Dewasya- Irritating souls for you.

These are game of senses, one will go another will come. This will never stop no matter how well KarmaYogi you are. You are born with it. Hence, use your common sense and behave in manner with your relationship with these kinds of essences but remember, they are also souls like you, yourself are.

44. Constantly meditate on the nature of yourself to be in sink of KarmaYog. This will make your mind more and more quite.

◾ Knowing and concentrating on self is called Waking State.

◾ Knowing and understanding oneself is called Turi State.

— Body is still.

— Keep your eyes at the beginning of nose.

— Tell your mind, not to think of past, future and present distractions.

— Don’t be scared of being a nobody, death and your ego.

— Focus on yourself dissolving into that higher self, the end goal.

Thus, meditating on self when your mind is absolutely still you will go into the Turi State. This state is the God’s nature.

God has not given a perfect time for meditation. It completely depends on the nature and requirement of your body. But everything should be in a balanced state (neither too much of activity nor dullness).

45. Milestones to indicate that you have reached the state of enlightenment.

◾ When the mind recites only in self and is totally detached from all kinds of thoughts.

◾ The mind seeks happiness, security, peace and all the other desires in its own self.

◾ Regular habit of meditation and KarmaYog can control the mind.

◾ Even the greatest and heaviest situations of sorrow and fear will not be able to disturb this person.

◾ Their worries about the future will disappear.

Krishna says, this is Yog, DhyanYog!

Consider yourself to be detached from this thought of being a ‘being’ rather than the energy who resides in me and I reside in them.

This ViYog is Yog! Practice this sincerely.

46. While meditating if the mind creates thoughts and the attention is shifted then, negate that particular thought as;

◾ False (when starts thinking various thoughts), bring it back and place in the self.

◾ Illusion (when starts thinking of some desires), remind your mind to practice vairagya and stay away from kaam and krodh.

This is Dhyan-a-Abhyaas.

47. Seeing fishes moving, is an effective way to calm the mind. This mind can be controlled in two folds.

◾ Practice

◾ Non-attachment (Vairagya)

Repeated instruction to ‘practice’ ‘vairagya’.

48. Sorrow helps to evolve a person much faster than happiness ever will. If their is any desire in your mind you will be born again.

◾ If you had more practice but less detachment then to a rich and wise parents so that you can fulfil your desires and then follow the path of Moksha.

◾ If you had less practice and more detachment then to a mediocre and wise parents so that you get enough space to practice the path of Moksha.

◾ The person who meditates on the nature of the self is supreme of all kinds of Yogis; than the spiritual practitioners like pandits.

◾ They will automatically carve for spiritual knowledge and try enlighten the self with continuous KarmaYog and meditation.

49. When you will read Bhagavad Gita you will discover about “Aham Brahma Asmi”;

Aham (explained from chapter 1–6)

Brahma (explained from chapter 7–12)

Asmi (explained from chapter 13–18)

50. Apara means space, water, sun, moon and earth. Para means the witness (atma) of apara prakrati.

God is —

◾ Space in the form of Sound (Om)

◾ Water in the form of Taste

◾ Sun in the form of heat

◾ Moon in the form of light reflected from the sun

◾ Earth in the form of smell

Me as I (atma) is the witness of all of the above.

51. There are three types of Budhi

Sudh Bhudhi: When our intellect is pure. It appreciates and follows righteous values.

Trishna Bhudhi: When our intellect is sharp. It understands and can differentiate between one object to another.

Sushma Bhudhi: When our intellect is subtle. Can differentiate between the sin and the sinner.

This Sudh and Sushma bhudhi is the Vibhuti of God. Krishna is you in the form of Tez (radiance). When you follow the path of righteousness by being detached from all the desires and attachment (kaam and raag). If you want to bring change in the world, invoke this Tez within you.

There is great strength within, when you are free from your desires and attachments (like performing my duties towards my body, family is also a kind of desire and attachment) but this is in-tune with dharma (is righteous) therefore, this strength is God.

52. The person who knows the nature of god and worships the almighty by trying to possess its nature is the most dearest.

53. Their are 4 kinds of desires:

◾ Desire to acquire wealth

◾ Desire to acquire fame and leave a legacy

◾ Desire to acquire a good after life

◾ Desire to acquire moksha (enlightenment)

The person who drops the “What I Want” desire and pays attention towards the desires of moksha only. The God is their mentor then.

54. The whole world is a play, where the men and women are merely the players. Playing subtle roles in each-others life to help them experience the worthlessness of everything and invoke the urge of attaining enlightenment.

55. I can meditate with my eyes open as well. Just keep the attention towards your-self-god and be righteous (i.e., do the Karma according to your Dharma)

56. The goal is to have a firm conviction that, “I am Brahma” and “my real nature doesn’t go under any modification” even at the time of death.

57. Convictions plays an important role in our life. Our conviction determines our future. So, the 8 pointers to strengthen our conviction about God;

1. God is knower of everything (Kavi).

2. God is ancient yet the newest (Puranam).

3. God is the inner controller (Anushistaram).

4. God is very subtle even smaller than an atom (Anoho-Aniyan).

5. God is the ultimate sustainer (Sarvasya-Dhataram).

6. God is uncomprehensible (Achintarupam).

7. God is having his own light; similarly I don’t want anyone to realize I am God (Aditya-Varnam).

8. God is beyond all darkness (Tamasha-Parastha).

Remember God through all this experience that you experience in your life.

58. Keep the senses in-between your eyebrows and chant “Om”. This is the subtlest way to silence the mind, drop the ego and understand God.

59. The time from the creator’s stand point:

Brahma Ji’s one day = 1,000 human yugas (generations)

Kaliyug according to the Scriptures = 4,320k Years = 1 units

Kaliyug started about 5000 years ago.

2 times Kaliyug is Duaparyug

3 times Kaliyug is Tretayug

4 times Kaliyug is Satyayug

These 4 yug’s together are called Chaturyug/Yug.

So, the life of this universe is (4,320k * 1000) this figure is the day time and the equal is the night time of Brahma Ji. This together is called 1 day of Brahma Ji, i.e. Ahoratra.

When Brahma Ji’s day begin creation begins and when it ends the creation itself comes to an end.

So, now the creation has come to the half point and the dissolution period has started.

Note: This mere information is shared because of you to understand that all these desires our worthless because everything is;

Moving according to the information shared above.

It is all a game, never take it too seriously.

No matter what, everything will come to an end at the perfect time.

60. Brahma Ji has 100 years.

His 100 years = 1 day of Vishnu Ji.

Vishnu’s 100 years = Just a eye flip time of MahaDev.

Now you know how flimsy your life is!

61. Don’t think too much, don’t complicate it. You just become a Yogi. Remain balanced in your mind, constantly remembering God, you perform your duties all the times.

As, their are two after lives for spiritual seekers:

◾ The path of return; When you incur Paap (Sin) /Puniya (Virtue), you return form Hell/Heaven and continue in this world of mortals.

◾ The path of no-return; When you have realized the supreme self and transcend not only paap but puniya also you attain enlightenment or continue your sadhana in some other lok (heaven/brahmalok) and then attain enlightenment.

62. One should be very careful about the philosophies they choose to follow in life. Our ego tends to prove what we choose to be true.

63. This is GOD:

◾ The waves is nothing but water. God exists in everything in an unmanifested form.

◾ The waves depends on water to exist. Everything is existing because of God.

◾ The water does not depend on waves. God is not depend on anything.

◾ There is no waves only water. Actually, there is no world existing in God it is just an illusion, just an appearance.

64. Totally like a witness, if we remain unattached to the actions, their doership, and the results as well then those actions will not bind us.

65. To look at this world as an expression of God and serve the same is itself considered to be worshiping the entity.

66. Their are two prakrati of God. Devi-Prakrati and Aasuri-Prakrati. Take a refugee in Devi, keep doing your Karma, rest will be taken care of by God.

67. What is Bhakti?

— When you remove your claim from all the objects you possess, When you offer your every action and see God in everyone all the time, that gesture is Bhakti.

68. The knower of Brahma, becomes Brahma. God devotees our non-perishable. But we all know Brahma then why, only few among us are peaceful?

— Because not all sees God with the same vision. Your Vision should be:

◾ Develop your interest in God. (Bhakti)

◾ Devote all your actions to God. (Karma)

◾ Do namaskar by seeing God in everyone and in everything. Surrender to the divine greatness. (Dhayan)

69. Krishna says, he is the origin of our mind and intellect. Try understanding the various expressions of your thoughts to know God, because to put the whole nature of god in words is impossible.

Note: Yatha Dhristi, Tatha Shristi!

70. No matter how old our body gets, our intellect, mind, memories and ego remains young forever like a 5–8 years old kid.

All the emotions like happiness, sadness, feeling to leave a legacy, will power, forgiveness, non-violence, contemplation, joy of giving, fulfillment, and satisfaction, comes from God only.

Just like a lake has a mosh above it and one cannot see clearly. Similarly, if we want to know the pure consciousness and become Sthitaprajna. We should look beyond these emotions.

These can help you to look beyond:

Chama (forgiveness)

Dhama (control your tongue) do not utter harsh words even when their is a strong agitation to utter them.

As both of these practices has the power to control your mind and intellect making it easier to become Sthitaprajna and know God.

71. It is impossible to understand the Divine. So to know the Divine one needs to be divine. One can be divine by constantly contemplating on the nature of the Divine.

72. The various Vibhuti’s (essence) of God:

74. Seeing the snake (world) is delusion. Not seeing the rope is ignorance. Snake is an illusion. Knowledge is seeing the rope in the form of a snake, that disappears the delusion as well as the illusion.

75. It is not possible to know all the vibhuti’s (essence) of God, because this creation is only a unit of god as a whole.

76–77. First of all I want to congratulate you for reaching till here. Thank you for your utmost patience and devotion towards this read.

The divine form of God is unveiled here, there are many faces, hands, garlands, a colorful sight, all the images of God are included. An art beyond wonders!

A vivid form of what the universe can be like.

78–79. Arjun saw: (I have provided you with the image because this is what is being provided us through centuries but, I urge you to try to imagine this wonder yourself because you yourself is Arjun of this KaliYug.)

◾ All the gods in the body of Krishna itself.

◾ Variety of living beings.

Brahma Ji seated on lotus.

◾ All the rishis.

◾ Many types of snakes.

◾ Countless arms, stomachs, faces, eyes.

◾ Infinite forms.

◾ Cannot see the end of you (referring to Krishna, Arjun shouts with terror in his eyes)

◾ Holding kamal, gadha, sudharsan chakra and wearing a crown.

◾ The glow surrounding his body is as bright as the Sun’s raise/something like fire, (Arjun is unable to comprehend this sight).

◾ Sun and Moon are his eyes, fire oozing out from his mouth.

Devtas entering you, helpless, frightened, doing namaskar, rishis smiling and doing namaskar with acceptance.

◾ All entering you regardless of their feelings they are looking at you with a sense of wonder.

Arjun addresses Krishna as Vishnu now and describes the, Vast form with variety of colors.

◾ He saw terrible teeth and started feeling directionless; overwhelmed with anxiety, Arjun starting feeling restless looking at God.

◾ Some our stuck it the tooth of kaal (i.e., the terrible form of God) but some our properly swallowed with their brains getting chewed by the divine kaal roop of God.

Did you too start wondering, What in the world did I just read?

Do not worry, Arjun got us!

80. Arjun then ask God, “Who are you?”

God replied, “I am Kaal/ Time/ Death, I am the dreamer, the doer you (humans) our just the nimit (cause).

81. The various stages of ‘Man’ (our evolution):

◾ Stone-Man — No awareness of the self and the surroundings as well.

◾ Plant-Man — No awareness of the self but awareness of the surroundings.

◾ Animal-Man — No awareness of the self but other humans and the surroundings.

◾ Man-Man — No awareness of the self but higher level of sensitivity of everything around (world, country, humans, things).

◾ God-Man — Awareness of the self and the totality.

82. Become one with God by:

Mat-karmakrit — Start performing all your actions for God only.

Mat-Pramaha — Consider attaining God as your supreme goal.

Mat-Bhakta — Bring devotion towards God by sacrificing your ego (personal likes and dislikes)

Sangat-Vargeeyatha — Become detached with other beings (do not love any person/thing but love the God in them).

Nirvairah-Sarva-Bhuteshu — Do not hate anybody. Because everyone is trapped in the same game and are performing good/bad actions or are excelling/defeating on the basis of laws of nature. You just follow KarmaYog and appreciate the God in all and do not hate them.

83. The eight indicators of God are:

Aksharam — Imperishable

Anirdesham — Unmanifest

Avyaktam — Cannot be expressed in words

Sarvastagama — All pervading

Achintyam — Cannot be thought with our mind

Kutastham — Steady; free from all the changes

Achalam — Steady; free from all the movements

Dhruvam — Eternal

84. There are two kinds of devotees:

◾ Those who worship the manifested from.

◾ Those who worship the unmanifested form.

Both are equally beloved by God, when they dedicate all their actions to the divine, (KarmaYog)!

85. Place your mind and intellect in God and you will attain the divinity. Try to tear down and understand. Practice by keeping your mind in itself.

86–87. Accept your results completely. Do not have a pre-convinced notion about any situation. Instead, at that moment practice to ask yourself, “how my karma in this situation can I dedicate to God?”

These are the characteristics of a devotee who being alive has attained enlightenment:

Adveshta — Absence of hatred towards any being.

Mitrah — Friendship towards all the beings guiding everyone for their good.

Karunavacha — Intense longing for removing pain from everyone’s life without judgement.

Nimamaha — Freedom from the sense of possession.

Nirahankara — No sense of ego.

Samha-Dukha-Sukha — Remains calm (no excitement/unhappiness) in both happy and sad situations.

◾ Chami — Has the courage to forgive completely.

Santustam-Satatam-Yogi — In all conditions they are completely satisfied. Optimistic view in very situation. Has a calm and peaceful mind.

Yatatam — Has self-control.

Dhriya-Nishya — I am Brahma, is a firm understanding in their mind, no one can shake their notion.

◾ From whom neither the world is disturbed, nor the person gets disturbed (annoying behaviour of others) only remains seated in-self.

◾ Free from great excitement/sorrow, envy/jealousy, fear and agitation of mind.

◾ Free from all the kinds of expectations, they have a pure speech, always alert and aware not in the dream world.

Udaseen — Above all they respond to all the situations but as a witness only, does not get effected by them.

◾ Peaceful nature, free from selfish desires.

◾ Only their soul belongs to them, therefore there is no grief/loss, no cravings and no desires.

Shubha-Ashubha-Tyagi — Neither attached to do something good nor running away from something bad, just established in-self.

Bhaktiman — Endured with complete devotion towards God. They see themselves in God.

Shatrucha-Mitrecha-Samha — Treats everyone equally.

Mana-Apmana-Yho — Does not get effected by respect/disrespect. Because if someone respects you based on your action this will surely change. If they respect the divinity in you then their state will never change.

Shite-Ushna-Samaha — If our understanding/state our getting effected by the outer conditions that means it is not stable.

Sang-Vargita — Their happiness does not depends on the outer support of the world.

◾ They do not from any opinion regarding anyone. Society as a whole do not appreciate a good person because they make them feel unsettled, as they wanted to be the same but are not able to be and feel shamed (a negative emotion). This is the nature of the society.

Therefore, a realized master does not depend on the opinion/criticism/praise of the world.

Mauni — Their mind is silent

88. Chitra: Body

Chitregay: Conciousness

We should not comprehend Bhagavad Gita as Arjun but as Sri Krishna.

89–90. Cultivate these qualities within you to attain enlightenment:

Amanitvam- Absence of Pride/Humility (to remove this, remember the flimsiness of life).

AhamVidvam- Absence of hypocrisy/showing something which is not there (to remove this, accept what you don’t have).

Ahimsha- Absence of violence.

Shanti- Absence of disturbance when in sorrow/pain.

Arjavam- Being straight forward.

AcharyaUpasanam- Serve your teacher (to do this, drop all your standpoints and start seeing in a new way, i.e., through the teacher’s standpoint).

Sochayam- Meditate on the sublime emotions.

Shatray- Do not deviate from your past.

AtmaVinigraha- Have proper control on your mind, body and intellect

IndrayashuVairagya- Detachment from all the kinds of pleasures of the senses (to remove this, understand your priorities, talk to your intellect about the worthlessness of these feelings/agitations and evaluate properly).

Ahahkara- Absence of ego (to remove this surrender yourself to the higher power).

Note: Do Dosh-Darshan, understand that this is a journey of sorrow and nothing else. Do not become a bitter person but smile and do not get effected by this world, just keep on sharing your wisdom.

Saktihi: Do not depend on anyone but only to your Karma.

AvingSangha: Do not identify yourself with the other people.

Note: Sympathize with other’s pain but do not suffer with them. For example, help your children, partner, parents, natives when in pain but do not identify with them.

SamahChinta: Do not have any disturbance in your personality (to remove this, have a balance approach to all the situations by keeping your mind balanced).

AnanyaBhakti: Immense love and faith for the supreme reality. (try this, have faith and love your higher spiritual self).

Vivektadesh: Practice solitude (this does not mean you should be practising loneliness, instead, this means to be at peace with yourself; no craving for attention).

DusangatVargitah: Do not be in the company of uncultured people. (If you can’t physically then do not allow them to enter in your system).

AdhyatmaNayanam: Constantly equipped in knowledge about yourself. (Listen to scriptures constantly, meditate on it and understand yourself).

91. The chitragnya (soul) does not have any gunas (equalities) but enjoys them. Similarly, this consciousness is only supporting the world. (The world does not exist, instead, you are making it exist and your troubles too).

92. Holding on to the pressure of the prakriti (material world) gives rise to the purusha (human) bondage. The only way to get rid of this game is to just do your karma and transcend all the feeling and desires arising from them.

93. Through meditation you can experience yourself, by yourself, in yourself. All the gunas (equalities) belong to the prakriti (nature). Purush (human) should just go with the flow doing karmayog and focus on meditation.

94. Became intently conscious of your consciousness. Always remember the difference between chitra-chitragnya (body-soul) with wisdom in mind.

95. The whole world is a play of TamoGun, RajoGun and SatvaGun. Sex is the ultimate emergence of life; Shiv and Shakti.

96–97. Purush (you) should only witness what is happening and do not get attach to the Prakriti.

Benefit of the three gunas:

SatvaGun will help to attain Vairagya. When one gets into SatvaGun they become intuitive, has the light of wisdom and our peaceful by nature.

RajoGun is a Raag (attachment). When one gets into RajoGun their mind becomes colorful, creates craving, sense of incompleteness, power, fear and jealousy.

TamoGun is ignorance. When one gets into TamoGun they become addictive to sleeping, addiction, carelessness, laziness and forgetfulness.

98. The knowledge of these Gunas are given not to classify people into these categories but to analyze our own weaknesses and strengths.

99. Saatvik person is Selfless.

Rajasik person is Selfish.

Tamasik person is Sleepy.

God wants to teach through this classification that, we are not these gunas but only the witness of them playing the game.

100–101. What are the characteristics of a Gunatit (one who has transcend all these Gunas)?

◾ They does not hate or wish for (desire) any situation in their life.

◾ They has the same approach and attitude towards a dear/non-dear ones.

◾ They will not chase any goal/desire. They does not initiate/react on any action, they just responses to the work in hand.

◾ They focuses and remains a devotee towards the ‘I am’ and fits to be a ‘Brahma’.

102. Develop Vairagya and cut this worldly tree. Opposite of Vairagya is Desires. Get free from this world.

Note: If you are thinking that opposite of Vairagya is Attachment, allow me to clarify this. Opposite of Vairagya is Desires, not attachment. Because Attachments are the results to our various desires, which leads to further attachments. This is a classic Vicious cycle of desires and attachments.

103. Have these five qualities to attain Moksha:

Nirmana Moha- Freedom from Pride and Delusion.

Jita Sanga Dosha- Remove expectation from love.

Adhyatma Nitya- Understand and contemplate to know the real nature of the self.

Vinivrtta Kamah- Freedom from cravings and desires.

Dvandvair Vimuktah- Look at them with an equal vision paap/punya, loss/gain, honor/dishonor, famous/infamous, sad/happy, friend/enemy.

Note: If you are feeling overwhelmed right now! Do not worry I am sharing the same stage with you. An advice that I would like to pass on which I received from my mentor is, keep establishing yourself more and more in Satvagunn which will help us in establishing all these qualities.

104. The three layers of being:

Sthul Sharir > Sukshma Sharir > Karana Sharir

105. The three layers of space in a being:

Physical Space > Mental Space > Conscious Space

106. There are three kinds of Purush in this world:

Sara-Purush — Para-Prakriti

Aksara-Purush — Apara-Prakriti

Uttam-Purush — The Divinity

Note: The ‘Purush’ here does not stand only for males but includes both males and females.

107. The secret of enlightenment is to know who I am and love the I am in everyone. Difference in the people’s behavior is due to prakrati (the ratio in which the three gunnas resides in them). Krishna regards all as one because the purush is the same in all.

108–109. Divine qualities:

Avayam- Fearlessness (Jakho rakhe saiyya maar sake naa koi!)

SatvaSamSudhi- Pure mind (free from Kaam i.e., Desires; Krodh i.e., Anger; Lobh i.e., Greed; Mooh i.e., Confusion; Madha i.e., Pride; Madshaya i.e., Jealousy)

NanYoga- Knowledge about who am I and put forth efforts to experience it within

Danam- Share your benefic qualities to uplift the world

Ahimsa- Absence of actions causing harm (through words and actions)

Satyam- Speak the truth

Akrodh- Do not express your anger

Tiyag- Renounced or ability to say no, to the extra

Shanti- Calmness of the mind (absolutely peaceful and quiet)

Apaysunam- Do not say anything harsh (not to express the defects/weakness of other people unnecessarily)

DayaBhutaysu- Remove the sorrow from someone else life/to put efforts towards removing them)

Mardhavam- Gentleness

Achapalam- Steady personality

Tez- Goal oriented and knowledge hungry

Chama- Forgiveness is the ornament of the brave. Forgiving not only others but yourself too.

Reethi- Perseverance, with obstacle one keeps looking at the goal and keep moving ahead.

Socham- Cleanliness of surroundings and words is next to godliness.

Adroha- Absence of hatred towards all being. Anger should be in your control as it is an important emotion to the correct the wrong.

Natimanita- Absence of pride (do not run behind popularity/net-worth/beauty) because you can by a bed but to sleep you need to transcend everything.

110. One has to avoid the company of negative people because they are lower at the path of moksha and they cannot comprehend it. It is their habit to use curse in every statement.

111. The divine was also a devil one day. Therefore, one should not envy with devilish people rather sympathize with them. As we all our at are karmic cycle some close, some far away.

112. There are three doors to hell (stay away):

Kama — Desires/wants/cravings

Krodh — Angry

Lobh — Greed

Note: Ok now, This will make you smirk;

I know you know this, even Bhagavan had devil as relatives constantly disliking god and speaking ill of the godly nature.

113. The one who does not know about what is written in the scripters, they have not read it but blindly follow what has been told in the name of scriptures makes them fall under either rajasik/tamasik gunnas.

114–115–116. God is in you in the form of that strength that comes to you when you are devoid of kaam (desire) and raag (attachment). So, transform yourself intelligently.

The 4 folds to attain moksha:

◾ Eat that kind of food which will increase your life span, health, happiness, strength, sustainability and is delicious for the mouth, body and heart.

◾ If I am doing something for the totality the universe will take care of me. I should not pay attention to the results but instead, do it as my duty. (karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana)

◾ Engage not only your mind but also your body language and speech (for welfare of the totality) into the tapas you are offering to the almighty.

◾ No matter what, put out efforts in making yourself happy by silencing your mind. You will observe adversity turning into opportunity then.

117. Om Tat Sat: Supreme Absolute Truth!

What you do willingly or unwillingly remember god before doing it, this will free you form that ego bondage.

118. The essence of Gita is Tayag!

Tayag of I and my and hold on to Brahma

119. What is Tayag?

It is Yadna-Danam-Tapah Karma.

◾ Fulfill your responsibilities

◾ Share your talent/knowledge with the world.

◾ Evolve spirituality and attain enlightenment.

Do the work as it comes in your way without any hope of set results. Stop thinking about the past/future. Give up the attachment to the work and its results just enjoy the work no matter how mundane it is. Develop this attitude and feel the joy and peace of tayag.

120. Stop demanding attention and get free. Your mind will get pure. In the purity of mind you will attain enlightenment. Start with the sadhana of karmayog.

121. Words should not be used in the form of weapons. Remember Maa Saraswati does not holds a weapon.

122. Pay attention to what prompts you to do a certain action. If you are able to embed the god’s knowledge within you, it has the power to transform the karmic backlog/sanskars and make you free in this life itself.

123. If your actions are prompted by what is right/wrong then that is satvik karma. When prompted by what I like/dislike then that is rajasik karma. When actions are prompted by not seeing its effects, loss, violence caused, their capacity, in delusion then that is tamasik karma.

Just keep doing the right thing with full enthusiasm without being disturbed by the results of the actions.

124–125. Since we all are looking for happiness. There are three types of happiness:

Satvik happiness — Pleasant feeling from within unaffected by the outer situations. May appear like a poison when you start practicing it but this will ultimately lead to liberation with consistency. This destroys sorrow. Even if you remember them.

Rajasik happiness — Pleasant feeling through objects and people. This gives parallel sorrow. Leaves you as soon as the contact/time is lost. May appear like liberation but leads to poison.

Tamasik happiness — Pleasant feeling through sleep and dizziness. This is actual sorrow. As the ability of mind gets destroyed and the native becomes incapable for everything.

Note: No one in this cosmos (earth/heaven/hell) is free from these gunas (satvik/rajasik/tamasik).

126. We feel that we do work outwardly but the fact is that the actual work should be done inwardly. Work on your mind and personality.

127. Dedicate all your actions to the universe. Because it is the universe that makes you do things, so that you can overcome your karmic backlogs. As above, so below.

128. Drop the concept of likes/dislikes, because immense liking and disliking a thing/man/object can create agitation in the mind. Control your tongue and inner voice; learn to silent the mind. Drop your thoughts and thinking.

129. Either you can open your eyes stay awake and enjoy the journey or you can close your eyes and sleep but the journey would not stop. You are bound by your karma.

130. Hence, In this way, God has revealed the top most secret knowledge to us. Nothing can lead to your purification and liberation except knowledge. Contemplate on each and every point without leaving any loopholes.

131. If you could comprehend, understand and apply even a little bit of this teaching of Bhagavad Gita you will be benefitted and will be able to remove your impurities.

Note: Sanjay leaves a pro tip for us in the end, as after listening to the whole conversation he concludes and stresses to keep a balance between materialism and spirituality and we shall be okay!

Now, you go do your Karma, as you know who you are and what is your dharma.

As I am doing ‘Dharma mama’ (my duty).
